UBUD, Bali (BPN) – Ubud Food Festival is back this year themed Spice Up the World from 26 – 28 April presents a variety of Indonesian cuisines and for the last two days managed to attract thousands of visitors. One of the biggest shows is the challenge of eating the world’s most spicy noodles.
In this challenge, participants were asked to eat noodle which the spicy levels are quite spectacular because it uses 500 chilies and ABC spicy sauce in one bowl.
According to Dhiren Amin, Marketing and R & D, Heinz ABC of South East Asia, participants who take part in this challenge or customers who also want to try the noodle do not need to worry about health problems, because they will get insurance from ABC.
“The insurance called Sambal ABC Pedasuransi is the world’s first ever spice insurance. This is because we create dishes that are very spicy and the insurance will allow consumers to try these products and the insurance also highlighting the fact that Sambal ABC is very spicy,” he said on Saturday.
Besides the Adu Pedas Challenge, there is also cooking competition by husbands for their wives with the theme of Balinese cuisine. Dhiren Amin explained this as a form of his support for gender equality in Indonesia.
“We bringing husbands to cook for their wives at Ubud Food Festival. People can come to try our products for free,” he concluded.
