SANUR, Bali (BPN) – THE 1O1 Bali Oasis Sanur presents “Blue Silence,” an art exhibition by Balinese visual artist Penawati, running from August to November 2026.
Blue Silence is a collection of textile artworks created from hundreds of small, discarded fabric fragments, carefully wrapped and arranged by hand.
Through layers of blue, Penawati transforms reclaimed textiles into tranquil compositions inspired by water, memory, nature, and the passage of time.
The exhibition invites guests and visitors to slow down and appreciate the beauty found in stillness, while experiencing how overlooked materials can be given new meaning through creativity and craftsmanship.
“Through Blue Silence, I explore the quiet relationship between memory, nature, and everyday life. Each piece is created through a repetitive handcraft process, allowing discarded textiles to become something meaningful and contemplative,” said Penawati.
As part of THE 1O1 Bali Oasis Sanur’s commitment to supporting local creativity and meaningful cultural experiences, the exhibition offers hotel guests and art enthusiasts an opportunity to discover contemporary Balinese art within the relaxed setting of the hotel.
Selected artworks from the exhibition are also available for purchase, with prices ranging from IDR 1,000,000 to IDR 15,000,000.
