JAKARTA (BPN) – Hendarman Law Firm (HLF), acting as legal counsel for Adrian James Campbell, has released an official clarification addressing what it describes as continued misinformation surrounding Campbell’s ownership, management role, and involvement in PT Marina Bay Investments and the Marina Bay City Project in Sekotong, Lombok Barat.
The statement aims to correct public narratives related to shareholding status, project development responsibilities, and recent allegations.
According to HLF, Adrian Campbell continues to hold a 50% shareholding in PT Marina Bay Investments through PT Marina Bay Group.
While an agreement in principle exists for a potential transfer of shares to Jamie McIntyre and/or affiliated entities, HLF emphasized that the transfer would only effectively occur once all satisfactory conditions outlined in the existing agreement have been met by Jamie McIntyre and/or its affiliates.
“it is incorrect, misleading, and wrongful for any party to state that Adrian James Campbell is no longer part of PT Marina Bay Investments,” HLF stated in a statement received on Wednesday (31 December 2025), adding that the ownership structure can be verified through Indonesia’s Ministry of Law and Human Rights company registry.
HLF further clarified that the Marina Bay City Project is a mega project initiated by Campbell through Kinnara Limited, encompassing site identification, branding, master planning, marketing strategy, and investor frameworks.
While PT Marina Bay Investments is responsible for operational development of only a portion of the project, Campbell and Kinnara Ltd. remain significant stakeholders, with two additional developers appointed to handle other areas of the project.
Under an existing Agency Agreement, Kinnara Ltd. continues to act as the authorized sales agent for villas developed at Marina Bay City project. HLF confirmed that the agreement remains valid and in force.
Kinnara Ltd assures relevant parties that all sales of Marina Bay City project is valid and all funds received will be responsibly distributed to the intended utilisation at the Marina Bay Project.
Legal Action Taken Over Alleged Defamation
HLF confirmed that legal action has been initiated against parties accused of deliberately disseminating misleading information regarding Campbell’s ownership and involvement in the project.
A police report has been filed with the Nusa Tenggara Barat police office, registered under report number TBLP/475/XI/2025/Dit.Reskrimsus, in relation to the misleading news and/or defamation that had been continuously directed towards his personal and professional reputation.
HLF reiterated that Campbell has conducted his business activities with full transparency and legal compliance with Indonesian regulations, noting that investor funds were allocated appropriately to land acquisition, infrastructure, and construction.
The clarification also highlighted concerns regarding an indication of misappropriations under the current Director and Commissioner of PT Marina Bay Investments. Campbell, as a shareholder, has reportedly requested clarification regarding indications of fund misappropriation, unpaid contractors, and licensing issues that allegedly led to a temporary halt of development by the Lombok Barat Department of Public Works and Spatial Planning.
HLF stated that despite repeated requests, sufficient clarification has not yet been provided by current management. Campbell has also called for an Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders to address these matters, though no action has been taken to date.
HLF urged media outlets to adhere to journalistic ethics by verifying information prior to publication and seeking confirmation from all relevant parties.
“As legal counsel, we are committed to transparency and factual clarity to prevent public misunderstanding and protect the reputation of our client,” HLF stated.
“The clarification is issued to safeguard Adrian James Campbell’s legal rights and ensure fair, accurate media reporting regarding PT Marina Bay Investments, Kinnara Ltd., and the Marina Bay City Project,” HLF emphasized that its client reserves all legal rights in connection with the matter.
