HKTDC to Hold 13 Trade Expos to Strengthen Ties between Hong Kong and Indonesia

BALI (BPN) – The Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) will hold a trade expo to strengthen commercial ties between Hong Kong and Indonesia in various products and services.

Mandy Ng, HKTDC Associate Director, Business Development, Exhibitions and Digital Business, said that the expo will be held early next year in Hong Kong, providing an ideal platform for Indonesian entrepreneurs and suppliers to expand their business into new markets.

The exhibitions are:

  • HKTDC Hong Kong Toys & Games Fair (8-11 January)
  • HKTDC Hong Kong Baby Products Fair (8-11 January)
  • Hong Kong International Stationery & School Supplies Fair (8-11 January)
  • HKTDC Hong Kong International Diamond, Gem & Pearl Show (27 February – 2 March)
  • HKTDC Hong Kong International Jewellery Show (29 February – 4 March)
  • HKTDC Hong Kong International Lighting Fair (Spring Edition) (6-9 April)
  • HKTDC Smart Lighting Expo (6-9 April)
  • HKTDC Hong Kong Electronics Fair (Spring Edition) (13-16 April)
  • InnoEX (13-16 April)
  • Home InStyle (20-23 April)
  • Fashion InStyle (20-23 April)
  • HKTDC Hong Kong Gifts & Premium Fair (27-30 April)
  • Hong Kong International Printing & Packaging Fair (27-30 April)

“Since the city fully reopened its borders in February, HKTDC held 24 international trade expos in Hong Kong, attracting more than 400,000 buyers and exhibitors from 199 countries and regions, strengthening Hong Kong’s status as a leading trade, convention, and exhibition hub,” Mandy said.

“We hope to welcome more business actors from Indonesia to explore business opportunities and join the global market through the HKTDC expo. We also strongly encourage all buyers, distributors, and retailers from Indonesia to come to Hong Kong to look for their needs.”

Indonesia is Hong Kong’s 25th largest trading partner, and up until October 2023, the total trade value reached USD 3.86 billion.

Particularly, Indonesia is the 24th export market for Hong Kong with a total export value of USD 1.82 billion and the 21st Hong Kong’s top import source with USD 2 billion value.
