KUTA, Bali (BPN) – Something is interesting in the celebration of the Indonesia Independence Day at The Trans Resort Bali, on August 17th, 2019. The celebration was held with Sakinah Orphanage and was also followed by staffs and guests of the hotel.
According to Sisca Oktavia, the hotel’s Marcomm Executive, at the event themed “Fun Activities with Orphanage”, children from Sakinah Orphanage followed many exciting competitions such as “balap sarung” which is a race using sarong and “makan krupuk” competition, a competition to find the fastest cracker eater and many other competitions.
“This is one of our CSR programs. The Trans Resort Bali invites 20 children from Sakinah Orphanage of Denpasar to share the happiness and togetherness so they can play with staff and also guest’s children. These positive activities spark a passion to celebrate Indonesia Independence Day,” as said by Sisca Oktavia.
After lunch at The Restaurant, the orphanage children received various gifts from the hotel’s guests, such as drawing book, storybook, coloring pencils and also dolls as a symbol of love and caring for each other.
“The flag ceremony was held at front of Lobby Entrance at 7 AM, followed by Potong Tumpeng (cutting the top of a cone-shaped serving of yellow rice) ceremony at The Restaurant to celebrate both Indonesia Independence Day and staffs who have a birthday on August. Besides, staffs were also dressed in a Nusantara (Indonesian Archipelago) themed to demonstrate a show of national dress at The Restaurant for guest during breakfast. It was a new and unique experience, especially for guest staying at The Trans Resort Bali,” Sisca said.
