KUTA, Bali (BPN) – In celebration of its 17th Anniversary and Indonesia’s Independence Day, THE HAVEN Bali Seminyak marked the occasion in a meaningful way by giving back to nature through a sea turtle release, held on 14 August 2026.
Together with hotel guests, representatives from the local community, and Sea Turtle Society, THE HAVEN Bali Seminyak released 117 sea turtle hatchlings back into their natural habitat.
The activity brought together guests and the local community in a shared effort to support marine conservation and raise awareness about the importance of protecting Bali’s coastal environment.
The turtle release forms part of THE HAVEN Bali Seminyak’s Road to 17th Anniversary celebration, which this year carries a spirit of giving back—not only to the community, but also to nature.
Coinciding with Indonesia’s Independence Day celebrations, the activity offered a meaningful way to celebrate freedom and togetherness while contributing to the preservation of Bali’s marine ecosystem.
The participation of hotel guests added a special dimension to the occasion, allowing them to experience firsthand the importance of conservation while creating meaningful memories during their stay in Bali.
The involvement of the local village community also reflected the hotel’s commitment to fostering positive relationships and shared responsibility within its surrounding community.
“Our 17th Anniversary is not only a celebration of how far THE HAVEN Bali Seminyak has come, but also an opportunity to give something back. By releasing these 117 hatchlings together with our guests, the local community, and Sea Turtle Society, we hope to inspire greater appreciation and care for our marine environment,” said Wayan Sukaarta, General Manager, THE HAVEN Bali Seminyak.
The initiative reflects THE HAVEN Bali Seminyak’s ongoing commitment to sustainability and responsible hospitality, while embracing the spirit of Tri Hita Karana—the Balinese philosophy of maintaining harmony between people, nature, and the divine.
As the 117 little hatchlings made their way toward the ocean, the celebration became a reminder that meaningful milestones can be marked not only by looking back at the journey, but also by giving back and creating a better future together.
