UBUD, Bali (BPN) – SereS Springs Resort & Spa is officially categorized as five-star hotel after passing several audits held by Tourism Business Certification Body (LSUP) PT. QIS Certi Indonesia. The announcement was marked by the handover of the Five-Star Hotel Certificate to I Nyoman Prabawa, Director of Operations & General Manager of SereS Springs Resort & Spa Singakerta in front of Management and Hotel staffs, on Tuesday, July 17, 2018.
“After the grand opening on October 17, 2017, we continue to work for five-star certification, despite the difficult times due to issues of Mount Agung eruption, but we still working hard for the audit to be satisfactory,” said Nyoman Prabawa.
The audit process has been done on 2 – 4 May 2018, indeed in satisfying result. SereS Springs Resort & Spa Singakerta earns a total of 983 points, exceeding the standard required to earn the Five-Star predicate which is 936 points.
“This is the result of the hard work of all teams and as a new hotel in Ubud, it’s really make us proud,” Nyoman continued.
Furthermore, Nyoman Prabawa explained through this five-star certification, his side wants to introduce Ubud not only as a honeymoon and holiday destination, but also for meetings. Thus, SereS Springs Resort & Spa also features grand ballroom facilities.
Meanwhile, Putu Tirta Yasa as the representative of LSUP PT. QIS Certi Indonesia, explained that the audit to obtain this five-star certificate covers all aspects of hotel physically, management and operational, including the certificate of competence of its staffs as well as the required permit.
In terms of employees’ competence, SereS Springs Resort & Spa Singakerta Ubud already meets the required the criteria that 50 percent of the total staffs have earned Profession Competence Certificate.
SereS Springs Resort & Spa Singakerta is also one of the hotels in Gianyar regency which already have Feasible Building Function Properties Certificate, as one of the absolute requirements to get Star-Hotel Certification in accordance to the state regulation.
“The purpose of this certification is to make the hotel maintains their qualities and keep making improvements. So certified hotels should continue to provide the best service to guests for the sake of tourism development in Bali. For SereS Springs Resort & Spa, it is worthy of five-star rating, moreover the hotel has a stunning natural view,” Putu Tirta Yasa said.
Located in Singakerta village just south of Ubud, the resort has 60 rooms and 20 villas each with various facilities including LED TV with international & local channels, work desk, small fridge, tea & coffee maker and bathroom equipped with shower and modern amenities.
The hotel also features a number of exciting entertainment facilities, including restaurant, lounge & bar, swimming pool with amazing views facing valley and river, free high-speed Wi-Fi, SereS Spa Sanctuary, Yoga Pavilion, Wedding Pavilion and kids club.
All-day dining is available at Mulberry Place, which provides diverse cuisine, and Italian Bell’Aria restaurant with wood-fired brick pizza oven. The resort also offers Lounge & Bar with live music entertainment at Café DarSini.
