SEMINYAK, Bali (BPN) – Zen1 Gallery in collaboration with the Seminyak Village Mall presenting a painting exhibition entitled ‘Getting Closer’ which opened on Sunday, February 28, on the mall’s 1st Floor.
The exhibition features four young artists and 56 artworks. Namely, Billy Jaya with 13 paintings, Michael Palilingan with 7 paintings, Tri Wahyudi with 9 paintings, and Wai Santy with 8 paintings. Besides, there are also 19 artworks from the collection of Zen1 Gallery.
“This exhibition is designed to bring art closer to its audience. In the midst of this pandemic, we want to deliver fresh air for artists and art connoisseurs to keep their enthusiasm for works,” said Nicolaus F. Kuswanto, the Director of Zen1 Gallery at the opening of the exhibition.
Previously, Galeri Zen1 along with Seminyak Village also held a painting exhibition at the same location from January to mid-February 2021, entitled 1st (ART), featuring 60 paintings by 38 talented Indonesian artists.
The previous exhibition was warmly-welcomed by art connoisseurs and collectors. More than 300 people visited the exhibition at that time, and several paintings were also sold out. Visitors were dominated by local residents and foreign nationals who mostly live in Bali.
The current exhibition will last until March 28, open daily from 11 AM to 7 PM, and free of charge. “I hope this exhibition can attract more art connoisseurs to come to see the exhibition within the next one month,” Nico said.
