UBUD, Bali (BPN) – If you are traveling to Ubud and want to find something unique for yourself or souvenirs for your family or friend, try visiting the Sunday Market on Rooftop of Samanera Bowl. Here, you will find vendors selling various local products made from natural material.
As many as 16 vendors sell various products including crafts, natural oil, snacks, accessories, clothing, and others that environmentally friendly.
The concept and idea of the products sold are also unique, for example straw made of bamboo or candle that is made from soybeans.
According to the founder Marina Mouaren, this Sunday Market is opened once in a month, on the last Sunday, starting at 10 AM to 6 PM and specifically for local products.
“This Sunday Market is to provide opportunities for small businesses to promote their products. Almost all products use organic or recycle materials,” she said on Sunday.
Marina explained, the idea of making this Sunday Market is to help local businesses that do not have the budget to rent a place for the shop, but they also already selling their products through the internet. Through this Sunday Market, vendors can directly meet their loyal customers.
In the future, Marina plans to expand the concept of the current Sunday Market to help local entrepreneurs in other areas in Bali.
“In the future, I want to make Sunday Market in other areas such as in Sanur and other places so that it can help local product business to develop even more,” Marina explained.
