KUTA, Bali (BPN) – Bali Regional Board (DPW) of the Media Online Indonesian (MOI) was officially inaugurated at Best Western Kuta Beach Hotel, on Thursday. The inauguration was directly done by the Chairman of the Central Executive Board (DPP) MOI Rudi Sembiring Meliala, based on DPP MOI decree No: 072/DPP/SK-DPW/IX/19 which was red by the Secretary-General of DPP MOI Eddy Prabowo.
The inauguration of the latest online media organization on the island was also attended by the founder of MOI Taufiq Rahman, Bali tourism figure Made Karang, Bali Military Command spokesperson (Kapendam) who delivers support from the Military Commander (Danrem), Naval Base Commander (Danlanal) and Regional Military Command (Dandim) for the existence of the DPW MOI Bali.
Officials who also attended the inauguration are the Head of the Bali Ombudsman Umar Ibnu Khatab, GM of Best Western Kuta Beach Hotel Dyah Listianing Tyas, representative of Bali Police spokesperson, The Communications and Information Department (Kominfo) Bali, Bali branch of the Indonesian Broadcasting Commission (KPID), Rotary Club Bali Benoa, the Secretary-General of Indonesian Journalists Association (PWI) of Bali Emanuel Dewata Oja, as well as a number of guests and tourism stakeholders.
Igo Kleden, after officially inaugurated as the Chairman of the DPW MOI Bali for the period 2019 – 2024, said that he will build synergies with various parties in Bali so that together they will contribute positively to the island’s development.
“Building harmonious cooperation with the government of Bali Province, other stakeholders, and the community is a must. Besides increasing the capacity and capability of members in managing online media is also our priority,” said Igo, who also the manager of paradiso.co.id.
Before the inauguration, the DPW MOI Bali also held a discussion themed the Role of Mass Media in Fighting against Plastic Waste to Support Bali Tourism.
The discussion presented three speakers; Chairman of the DPP MOI Rudi Sembiring Meliala, Assistant of Bali Governor’s for Legal Affairs Nyoman Budi Adnyana, SH.MH.CLA and Dr. Ir. Titik Wurdiningsih, M.Sc. from Watershed and Protection Forest Council (BPDASHL) Unda Anyar.
The discussion led by a senior journalist Djoko Moeljono went on excitingly and the participants agreed to jointly fight against plastic waste which would begin with self-education.
Rudi Sembiring in his remarks said that from now on DPW Bali must emphasize several things. First is registering the official number of MOI Bali members.
“I’m sure when other Medias heard of the existence of MOI Bali, they will want to join. Then, guide members on an ongoing basis. I am very happy with today’s program and I will convey to all DPWs throughout Indonesia to hold an inauguration combined with A discussion like today,” he said.
Rudi hopes that MOI Bali soon to build cooperation and partnerships with various parties on the island.
“I appreciate the MoU conducted between DPW MOI Bali, Rotary Club Bali Benoa, The Indonesian Advocates Association (PERADI) Bali and BPD ASHL Unda Anyar, which was signed today to preserve Bali’s nature. This is amazing and cool. I hope this will continue to be done by MOI Bali, such as MoU with the Bali Regional Police, Kominfo and other strategic partners,” Rudi said.
