According to a research, a dog is an animal that has a high sense of social soul and can feel the attention and affection from its “hooman” and this is generally shown through loyalty, devotion, and penchant for playing with humans. With the scientific nature of a dog, any of us makes this cute animal as a pet.
One of the provinces in Indonesia which is considered to have quite a large dog population is Bali. It’s not strange if most of the Balinese people keep dogs and they can even run freely on public roads. Ironically, many of the Balinese residences ignore the growth of the population so that ultimately many are abandoned especially for local dogs.
This is what underlies a dog rescue community, the Seva Buana Foundation to routinely conduct Bali dog sterilization to suppress dog populations in several areas on the island.
Conducted on Kuta Beach, this dog sterilization program targeting only 15 dogs because there will be similar activities in other areas. On this occasion, Citadines Kuta Beach Bali again showed concern by donating several funds to help the medical requirement of the program held on Tuesday, December 3rd, 2019.
Francisca, the General Manager of Citadines Kuta Beach Bali stated that this idea was one of the ways of Citadines Kuta Beach Bali in accommodating the love of their guests for dog.
“We have a dog who stays at the Hotel every time and comfortably sit all day in the lobby area. We don’t chase him because to the guests, it is being nice, and many guests love it,” said Francisca who apparently prefers to feed stray dogs in Kuta beach area in her spare time.
With this activity, Citadines Kuta Beach Bali hopes that many people will realize the importance of protecting the dog population in the Bali area.
