TABANAN, Bali (BPN) – PT Victoria Care Indonesia Tbk (VICI) through the Herborist brand together with YMM Event Organizer shows its commitment to supporting the development of the tourism and creative economy through its programs, one of which is the Herborist Bali Fashion Carnival 2022.
Taking place in June at the Secret Garden Village, Bedugul, Bali, the Herborist Bali Fashion Carnival 2022 is a fashion show parade that invites 22 well-known local designers and collaborates with the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy (Kemenparekraf), and Secret Garden Village.
Famous designers who participated in this event included Tjok Abi, Inggri Kendan, Subarqa Benz, Sugeng Waskito to House of Hasto.
The series of the event includes modeling & photo competition, MSME bazaar to the peak event, the Fashion Show Parade which was held on Sunday, 17 July 2022.
“Herborist is a brand inspired by Bali is moved to participate in this activity not only as an event for the creativity of local designers, but also to help the economy and tourism in Bali. Hopefully, this event will be able to attract local and international tourists to continue exploring Bali to support #BaliBangkit and #ItsTimeForBali,” said Sumardi Widjaja, Director of Operations at PT Victoria Care Indonesia Tbk.
Sumardi Widjaja added that through the Herborist Bali Fashion Carnival 2022, Bali will not only be known for its tourism but also become a fashion icon in Indonesia and internationally.
Meanwhile, Anton They, Operational Director of PT Natura Pesona Mandiri (NPM) which oversees Secret Garden Village, explained that this event was held to increase the interest of local and foreign tourists to visit Bali again.
“We chose the fashion show because it could raise new creative talents in Indonesia. Besides, this is the right time for #BaliBangkit (Bali rise) with its stunning beauties,” Anton said.
Martini M Paham, Director of Marketing Communication Kemenparekraf, said that this event is not just useful as a promotional event for Bali, but also has an impact on the local economy and MSMEs.
“We should be grateful for the initiative from the Wonderful Indonesia co-branding partner. This activity does not only for tourism but also one of the sub-sectors of the creative economy, namely fashion,” she said.
“Hopefully tourism and the creative economy will become an important instrument in the movement of the Indonesian economy, in this case in Bali.”
She also mentioned that the Herborist Bali Fashion Carnival 2022 can be categorized as part of Road To World Tourism Day 2022 which will be held in Bali on 27 September 2022.
Meanwhile, Septyana Nataya, Senior Brand Manager of PT Victoria Care Indonesia Tbk hoped that the Herborist Bali Fashion Carnival 2022 can be a means so that people are more aware of the diversity of Indonesian culture.
“The Herborist Bali Fashion Carnival 2022 is expected to be able to increase awareness towards the Indonesian culture, starting from kids to adults who participate in modeling competitions, and encourage MSME entrepreneurs to preserve their works,” said Septyana.
