MANGUPURA, Bali (BPN) – The Badung Police revealed a drug case involving a foreigner from Germany with the largest evidence in Bali, weighing 282.01 grams of cocaine worth IDR 1.5 billion and hashish weighing 1.10 grams, as quoted from the press release.
The evidence was confiscated from a German initialed ABL, 35, at a villa in Cemagi Village, Mengwi, Badung on Monday (5/7/2021) at around 10 PM.
According to Badung Police Chief AKBP Roby Septiadi, the case was due to information from the public that parties were often held at the villa.
After conducting a month-long investigation, a team led by Head of Drugs Crime Unit Iptu Putu Budi Artama managed to identify the perpetrators.
“Based on this information, the police carried out a raid and arrested the perpetrator,” Badung Police Chief said at a press conference on Friday (9/7/2021).
During the search, officers found 53 plastic clip packages containing cocaine from inside a safety box and 1 plastic filled with hashish in the perpetrator’s room. The perpetrator admitted the drugs belonged to him.
“Furthermore, on Tuesday (6/7) at 6.55 PM the police conducted another search at the crime scene and found a blue paper bag containing 56 packages of cocaine,” he explained.
The perpetrator violated four articles on drugs with the punishment of 15 to 20 years imprisonment or life sentence.
