DENPASAR, Bali (BPN) – Bali Provincial Government released new regulation by forbidding self-isolation for Covid-19 patients and requires Centralized Isolation to all COVID-19 patients including Asymptomatic patients (OTG) or those with mild symptoms.
Bali Governor Wayan Koster has informed the Bali Police Chief, Bali Wirastya Military Resort Command, and Regents/Mayor throughout Bali to implement this policy.
“This policy is the result of the Regional Leadership Communication Forum (Forkopimda) meeting on Saturday, July 10, 2021. The meeting agreed not to allow self-isolation at home because it is a high risk (for the patients),” said Dewa Made Indra, Bali Administration Regional Secretary, in a press statement on Friday in Denpasar.
“COVID-19 Task Force in Regencies/City to facilitate the availability of this tiered isolation centers.”
Dewa Indra explained the centralized isolation is carried out by utilizing existing facilities or buildings and later be managed by Task Force at the level of Village, District, and Regency/City. And provide an isolation site for civil servants.
“The provincial Centralized Isolation has been prepared at the Ibis Hotel Kuta, and special isolation for civil servants, TNI (military) and Polri (police) has been prepared at the Bali Education Quality Assurance Agency (LPMP),” Dewa Indra said.
The Task Force, he continued, should ensure the valid case data and separate the data of Positive Confirmed Cases of Asymptomatic patients and those with Mild Symptoms (OTG-GR).
The Task Force is also expected to immediately distribute drug packages from the National Task Force, to accelerate the recovery of the patients.
“However, if there are still people with certain conditions and are forced to self-isolating, then the Village Task Force will attach a sticker at their home explaining that the occupants are in self-isolation,” he said.
