Enjoy Various Indonesian Delicacies at Archipelago International’s Food Festival

DENPASAR, Bali (BPN) – Archipelago International holds the finale of the Archipelago Young Chef Challenge competition and Appreciation Dinner on October 14, 2022, and the Archipelago Food Festival on October 15 at Quest Hotel San Denpasar. These events are held to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Archipelago International.

The Archipelago Young Chef Challenge is a cooking competition held to recruit young and talented chefs from hotels under the Archipelago International network. It is held based on the first of its four pillars, Rich in Culinary.

A total of 82 chefs from hotels across Indonesia under Archipelago International, compete in the preliminary round and 5 winners are selected to show their expertise in front of Archipelago International Chairman Charles Brookfield, and Archipelago International President & CEO John Flood.

In addition to trophies and cash as prizes, the winner also has the opportunity to have their winning recipes on a promotional menu at all Archipelago chain hotels in Indonesia in early 2023.

Flood, President and CEO of Archipelago International.

Meanwhile, on October 15, 2022, Archipelago International with Quest Hotel San Denpasar to present the Archipelago Food Festival with the theme Pesona Nusantara (Archipelago’s Charms).

The Archipelago Food Festival has become a flagship event for the Archipelago International hotel group held in various cities in Indonesia to introduce a variety of culinary products served at Archipelago hotels.

This event will be attended by 15 Executive Chefs under Archipelago International hotels in East Java and Bali.

The event is open to the public for IDR 150,000 per person, and guests can enjoy a variety of dishes from all over the archipelago, including East Javanese specialties such as Rawon and Rujak Cingur, Central Java’s Soto Kudus and Tahu Gimbal, West Nusa Tenggara’s Sate Rembiga and Beberuk, Bali’s Bebek Betutu and Sate Lilit, and many more including desserts and various drinks made by the Executive Chefs.

The event will be enlivened by a live performance from well-known bands in Bali, namely the Side Effect and Lolot, and various MSME booths.
