JIMBARAN, Bali (BPN) – Biznet, one of the largest internet providers in Indonesia, has again expanded its business, especially in the health sector by introducing Virtu DigiLab.
According to Adi Kusma, President Director of Biznet, Virtu DigiLab is an advanced laboratory service that is digitally integrated with international standards equipment. Virtu DigiLab is planned to open at the end of 2022 in Nusa Dua.
Adi Kusma explained, Virtu DigiLab is launched as a form of Biznet’s initiative to take part in supporting the health industry for the Indonesian people.
“This service is expected to be a one-stop-service for digital-based public health and provide maximum health services for a better and happier future for the community,” Adi said during a media conference at Ayana Estate, Jimbaran, Tuesday (11/10/2022).
One of the advantages of Virtu DigiLab, Adi continued, is that it has an integrated data system, where patients can view their medical history by visiting the website or its mobile application.
“So patients don’t have to bother carrying paper contains containing medical records. Here they can find medical history from the first check-up, to its result that can be digitally downloaded,” he said.
This digital system, he said, is an important point considering that in the future all health services will experience digitization in order to facilitate services to the community.
This digitization too, according to Adi, will also support the development of Medical Tourism or wellness tourism in Bali.
“Of course, with world-class medical equipment and sophisticated systems, Virtu DigiLab will support Medical Tourism in Bali. So with this Bali can be a new alternative for people around the world and while for the Indonesian people, they no longer need to go abroad for treatment,” he explained.
Regarding internet services, up to now, Biznet has more than 65,000 KM Fiber Optic, with 1,700,000 Homepass in more than 180 cities in Java, Bali, Bangka, Batam, Sumatra, Kalimantan, Sulawesi, Flores, and Timor.
“This year we have turned 22 years old, and have shown our achievements that continue to move forward as a leading provider of Internet, IPTV, Data Center, and Cloud Computing network services in Indonesia. Currently, the Internet has played an important role in the development of the digital era, so we will continue to work hard to improve the quality of service by developing innovations and presenting the best digital infrastructure to create a digital society that is more productive, prosperous and technology literate,” said Adi Kusma.
Adi realizes, as an integrated infrastructure company, Biznet also faces challenges and changes based on the public need for Internet services.
Therefore, Biznet is currently in the process of developing an underwater Fiber Optic cable network that will connect the islands of Java, Sumatra, and Bangka, under the name Biznet Submarine Cable System (BNCS).
This network is connected from Anyer (Java) – Kalianda (Sumatra) and Sungsang (Sumatra) – Muntok (Bangka) for approximately 100 KM.
With the construction of this underwater infrastructure, it is hoped that more people will be able to enjoy the best Internet connection from Biznet to support growing digital activities.
“We hope that more and more people can be connected by the Internet without barriers to reduce the digital divide and can contribute to developing the potential of each individual and company,” he concluded.
