Piodalan ceremony at Citadines Kuta Beach Hotel.

KUTA, Bali (BPN) – Citadines Kuta Beach Bali held Piodalan to celebrate its temple’s fifth anniversary. Birthday of the Holy Place, Piodalan, comes from the word wedal which means out or born. Just the same as we celebrate birthdays, the moment of the anniversary of the Piodalan ceremony is appointed as the birthday of a temple or sacred building. In other words, piodalan is the anniversary of the birth of a Hindu holy place.

Generally, all buildings in Bali can be ascertained to have a sacred building or a temple, valid for accommodation used by civilians (families), arcades, to industrial buildings, including hotels. Citadines Kuta Beach Bali located on Jalan Pantai Kuta, Bali, has two sacred buildings or temples placed around the front entrance and at the back yard of the building.

On December 11, 2019, the management of Citadines Kuta Beach Bali held its 5th-anniversary celebration for purification and celebrating the birthdays of these two temples. Started at 1 PM, the event began with a prayer led by Jero Mangku Ketut Catur Yasa, after previously Citadines Kuta Beach Bali staff who were members of the Hindu Community in Bali hold a cleaning procession to every part of the Hotel building or known as the Mecaru procession.

The series and preparation of piodalan activities took up to two days in advance since December 9, 2019, starting from the penjor assembly, gebogan, nunas tirta to several temples, as well as the peak event on December 11, 2019. This ceremony activity took less than two hours and took place solemnly in the temple at the back-yard area of Citadines Hotel Kuta Beach Bali.
