GIANYAR, Bali (BPN) – One of Indonesia’s top fashion designers Anne Avantie, held a spectacular fashion show marking her 29-year of career as Batik fashion designer. Titled “Cinta Putih” (White Love), the event was held at Rumah Luwih, Gianyar, on Friday, July 27, 2018. Anne admitted that this show is the greatest and grandest of her career.

“This is the biggest and the most beautiful celebration of 29 years of work, and this is a part of my achievement in my career. With Cinta Putih as the theme, I want to convince people to love something in holy or pure ways, in which I show it with my love and gratitude to God and my country Indonesia,” Anne Avantie said.

Anne explained that 100 fashion works were presented in this event and performed by 50 of Indonesian famous models such as Putri Indonesia 2018 Sonia Vergina, Putri Indonesia Lingkungan Vania Herlambang and Putri Indonesia Pariwisata Situngkir Wilda.

“There are 100 works showed by 50 models, all works are both new and old works, some fashion works also using materials from Bali,” she said.

Held on a grand stage located above an artificial lake with Lebih beach as the view, this show broke the Indonesian Museum of Records (MURI) for the first fashion show held above a lake.

“I hope that it will encourage small and medium entrepreneurs to be confident, brave and embrace all challenges that they might face when trying to grow up the business,” Anne hoped.
