KUTA, Bali (BPN) – Indonesia’s leading and senior designer Anne Avantie, held an exhibition of a number of her batik-themed works entitled “Indonesia Mahardika”. The exhibition involving dozens of small, medium and micro enterprises (UMKM) built in the concept of the18th “Pasar Tiban” event for a week (July 24-29, 2018) at Atrium Mal Bali Galeria (MBG), Kuta.
At this exhibition, the fabric selection both the types and motifs, the design, and cutting was done by Anne, and all of these products using Anne Avantie Indonesia brand that is always controlled accordingly to the determined quality standards.
“Every month, we always move from one mall to another in every region, while inspiring in terms of work and love for Indonesian creative industry, as well as contributing to UMKM to be able to move forward with success, inspiration and communication,” she said in Kuta on Thursday.
Anne who originated from Semarang, Central Java said, Pasar Tiban is an effort to present and bring back the legacy of traditional art and culture of Indonesia, such as batik and traditional cloth of the archipelago to be the pride of Indonesian people in particular and in general fo foreign tourists.
“We work with thousands of artisans, tailors, and small and medium enterprises, even giving female prisoners the opportunity to produce clothing,” she said.
