DENPASAR, Bali (BPN) – For those of you who love classic rock genre, don’t miss a very interesting music event this weekend which is held by local band called Blackburn. At the event themed Brotherhood in Rock 2018, Blackburn to present their own songs as well as few famous classic rock songs, on December 1 at Warung Mina, Peguyangan, Denpasar.
The event which is also in collaboration with Brother Rock Community Bali, surely to pamper classic rock lovers because it will features tributes to classic rock bands who had succeeded in their time.
According to Komang Natha, the vocalist of Blackburn, the event will also be enlivened by 14 other local rock bands that will be performing from 4 PM to 11 PM. Some of the tribute that will be performed such as tribute to Iron Maiden, Metallica, Offspring and many more.
“Blackburn to perform four songs. In addition, we will also performing a tribute to Iron Maiden, as well as a jamming session with other bands,” he explained at a press conference at Warung Mina, on Monday.
Meanwhile, Muliawan, the guitarist explained that the event is expected to spread positive vibes from classic rock and strengthen brotherhood with other rock bands and musicians in Bali.
“We only want to spread classic rock from the positive side. Hopefully we can entertain the audience and able to make them feel the thrill of classic rock again,” Muliawan said.
Blackburn is one of legendary classic rock bands in Bali that has existed since the 90s. Having been inactive for 20 years, the band that consists of Muliawan (Guitar), Komang Adi (drum), Agus Nadi (guitar), Agus Yudi (bass) and Komang Nata (Vocal) finally decided a comeback in 2017, hoping that they will give a different color to the development of rock in Bali.
“In the future we are planning to release a mini album titled Black Burn in 2019,” Muliawan said.
Meanwhile, Wayan Mina, the organizer and owner of Warung Mina Group, said that he greatly appreciates the return of Blackburn to Bali’s rock stage. “Hopefully in the future there will be more quality works from them,” he said.
