DENPASAR, Bali (BPN) – In commemorating the World AIDS Day which falls on December 1, 2018, a local NGO named AYO! Kita Bicara HIV & AIDS in collaboration with Yowana Padangtegal Ubud, to hold a concert that will be located at Monkey Forest parking area, Ubud. The event, titled World AIDS Day Concert 2018, which is opened for the general public for free.
The event aims to attract the public’s attention and become the moment to spread accurate information towards prevention, transmission, myths and facts, HIV and AIDS care and social acceptance in Balinese society.
Besides, it is hoped that the World AIDS Day Concert can encourages individual and communities in Bali to take stronger actions in reversing social stigma and cultural behavior caused by stigma, discrimination, and misinformation about people with HIV.
The commemoration of World AIDS Day will begin at 6 AM with morning yoga with yoga masters from Padangtegal Ubud I Ketut Arsana. Activities in the morning and day are also will be enlivened with several other activities such as zumba workshop, free medical check and others.
Meanwhile music and arts events will begin at 4 PM. The concert will perform artists and musicians from Bali such as Navicula, Antrabez Band, Griya Faria, Comedian Ofven & Sengeng, Everest, Dance4Life Team, and Matasiwa Band.
