KUTA, Bali (BPN) – Beachwalk Kuta Fest returns on 14-16 June 2024, with various entertaining programs including a surfing competition featuring hundreds of surfers.
Fari Setiaji, Event & Partnership Manager Cornerstone, said that Beachwalk Kuta Fest 2024 presents a series of more lively events with various programs that will provide an unforgettable experience for visitors, both local and foreign tourists.
“Beachwalk Kuta Fest 2024 aims to celebrate the heritage and authenticity of the Kuta’s surfing festival. This festival highlights the culture, arts, and surfing heritage that have long been part of life in Kuta,” he explained at the press conference on Friday (14 June 2024).
Visitors will be treated to a variety of unique and memorable events designed to capture the attention of visitors from around the world.
One of the main highlights is the Beachwalk Surfing Competition, which will take place over two days on Kuta Beach.
According to I Gusti Putu Suargita, chair of the Indonesian Wave Surfing Association (PSOI), Bali Region, 112 surfers divided into five categories will compete for prizes totalling IDR 65,000,000.
“Hopefully this event will contribute to us and through this event hopefully we can protect this “treasure”. Let’s protect the coast of Indonesia through surfing,” he said.
The festival also collaborates with 11 local communities that will host various cultural and sporting activities. The Bali Cultural Showcase will feature traditional Balinese dances such as the Barong and Kecak dances.
There will also be sports activities such as Zumba and Pound Fit, as well as activities from the pop culture community.
Visitors will also be entertained by acoustic music performances and DJ performances by Westside Musique which add to the festive atmosphere of this festival.
Beachwalk Kuta Fest 2024 will close with a special performance by Maliq & D’Essentials who will liven up the atmosphere on the closing night of this festival.
Fancy Sakriwasista, Campaign & CRM Asst Manager, said that Beachwalk Shopping Centre also offers interesting shopping programmes during the festival.
“Visitors can enjoy special offers and discounts of up to 50 percent from more than 40 participating tenants. This is a special moment that we want to share with local and international tourists,” she explained.
