DENPASAR, Bali (BPN) – Bali drum community, Bali Drumholics, held a music concert to celebrate its first anniversary at the Dharmanegara Alaya, Lumintang, Denpasar, on Saturday. Bali Drumholics is a community filled with kids and youth and as a place to play and share the passion in music, especially drums and percussion.
In a virtual speech, Denpasar Mayor IB Rai Dharmawijaya Mantra hoped that Bali Drumholics could become a place for youth to express their creativity and innovation, and even in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, creativity should not stop.
The music concert, which was initiated by parents, members, and Bali Drumholics supervisors, entitled “Bali Drumholics 1st Anniversary Concert”. The concert was expected to increase the interest of kids and adolescents, especially drum and percussion enthusiasts.
At the concert, members of Drumholics brought a creative show for 60 minutes with the theme “RIMBA” which personifies people who are longing for the coolness of the jungle.
The concert presented several interesting performances such as a drum ensemble, drum battle, drum duo, and so on.
There were also coaching clinics and drum coaching which included drumming techniques. The event also invited several well-known drummers and bands on the island.
