KUTA, Bali (BPN) – Indonesian Bartender Association (ABI) Bali held the Captain Morgan Mixochef Mixologist Sweet Note Burst 3 Competition which followed by 22 bartenders from Bali. The competition themed Sweet Note where bartenders should make drinks using pastry or bakery ingredients.
“The theme is well-executed by almost all participants and mostly create their drinks based on traditional food, cake or dessert,” Elva Buana Agung, head judges said at a press conference in Kuta on Monday.
At the same occasion, Chairman of ABI Bali Robhet Rebeca explained, the burst 3 is the final burst ahead of the upcoming Best of the Best in June 2019. At the grand final round, each finalist must invite his partner as his chef in food pairing competition.
“The assessment will be based on how strong the partnership between the drinks and the food,” Robhet said.
Diageo Representative Alex Eka Putro added, this kind of competition aims to improve the quality of bartender to international standard.
“Captain Morgan will continue its commitment to support this kind of event and always make improvement for the next event, in order to raise the quality level of the bartender,” he said.
Captain Morgan Mixochef Mixologist Competition Burst 3 resulted Wira Soesana from Ayana Resort & Spa as the winner.
The five finalists going through the grand final are Wira Soesana (Ayana Resort & Spa), Anom Wira Negara (The Breezes Seminyak), Darmayasa (Indigo Bali Hotel), Arlin Widiastuti (Kilo Bali), and Kadek Yodiantara (The Lawn Canggu).
