JAKARTA (BPN) – The Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy (Kemenparekraf) released a new logo “Thoughtful Indonesia”, which is used temporarily during the COVID-19 pandemic.
As quoted from the official release of Kemenparekraf, Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy (Menparekraf) Wishnutama Kusubandio on Thursday (23/4) explained, “Thoughtful Indonesia” is not a replacement for the Wonderful Indonesia logo.
The new logo is a contextual logo that resembles the “Wonderful Indonesia” logo to relate to the message in the pandemic situation to the public, both at home and abroad.
“Thoughtful Indonesia is our main foundation in delivering thoughtful programs to help tourism players and workers and the creative economy in dealing with the impact of COVID-19,” Wishnutama said.
Wishnutama also explained that the Thoughtful Indonesia logo represents empathy from the tourism sector towards the COVID-19 pandemic.
Besides, the logo also highly appreciated in Europe after the Coronavirus declared as a pandemic by WHO.
“This is part of a soft promotion to other countries and we receive reports that people in Europe appreciate it. It’s also the way to express our empathy to the current situation and we are still wonderful in many ways,” he said.
