SANUR, Bali (BPN) – Prama Sanur Beach Bali in collaboration with RajaLARI to hold the 2nd Sanur KulineRUN on March 3, 2024, an event that combines sports, especially running and culinary festival.

According to Panca R Sarungu, CEO of RajaLARI, the 2nd Sanur KulineRUN consists of several categories, namely Half Marathon, 10K, 5K, and 3K with a unique concept that will create a unique experience where while running, participants can enjoy the beauty of Sanur beach and at the end enjoying Indonesian and Balinese delights.

“Sanur is a proper destination for sports tourism, especially running, since it brings experience that is hardly found in other areas, running while watching the sunrise,” he said at a press conference at Prama Sanur Beach Bali on Monday (Feb 19).

Panca said that this event targets to be followed by 600-700 participants and is held to support government programs in the tourism sector, especially sports tourism.

“We hope that the 2nd Sanur KulineRUN can have a greater impact in attracting domestic and foreign tourists,” he explained.

Apart from the running event, the 2nd Sanur KulineRUN also invites local Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) to pamper runners and spectators with a culinary festival where they can enjoy delicious Indonesian and Balinese dishes.

According to the Head of the Denpasar Tourism Office, Ni Luh Putu Riyastiti, this event will highlight the culinary delights of Bali, especially Sanur.

“The culinary festival at this event is followed by MSMEs offering Balinese culinary heritage or rare foods that cannot be found on normal days,” she said.

Riyastiti hopes that this event will become an annual event in Denpasar and that sports tourism can become an attraction, especially to attract national and international runners.

Meanwhile, I Gusti Bagus Surya, General Manager of Prama Sanur Beach Bali, hopes that this event can run optimally and be able to deliver a positive impact on Sanur tourism.

In addition, his party also has prepared an attractive package to support the event through a package that includes flight tickets, a staycation at Prama Sanur Beach Bali, and participating in the KulineRun event.
