DENPASAR, Bali (BPN/PR) – After holding various training sessions based on Digital Media and Content Creation for 2 days on 7-8 July 2023, Lecturers and LSPR Batch 2 students launched the new look of Desa Sumerta Kelod’s Social Media at the moment of awarding the content creation competition on Thursday, 20 July 2023 at Colony Hub, Plaza Renon.
The Makejang Melajah Mekarya program, which was initiated by the LSPR student program, has goals for Makejang Melajah Mekarya to generate content for young creators who care about local culture.
This event is an opportunity for young amateurs to learn and young professionals to show their skills and rededicate to the village.
As a form of appreciation, various prizes with a total value of millions of rupiah have been prepared for the three best groups. The prizes provided consist of cash, undergraduate program scholarships at LSPR Bali, and souvenir gifts from donors.
Makejang Melajah Mekarya is designed as a movement to create the initial movement of a generation that cares about tradition.
LSPR guided the first steps by conducting various training on branding formation, the difference between managing social media products and communities, to the content creation process from pre-production to post-production by guest speakers who have attended.
The training took place at the LSPR Bali campus which is also in the Sumerta Kelod Village area and the public can register free of charge.
“The Makejang Melajah Mekarya program is not only designed to be held in event packaging like today, but the most important thing about this program is the real contribution that our students make in the form of New Look Social Media Desa Sumerta Kelod which will also be launched this year with the aim of becoming a sustainable program,” said AA Istri Putri Dwijayanti as supervising lecturer for the Community Service course during the opening of the awarding ceremony.
In the content creation process, the topics prepared are social, cultural, environmental, and public service advertisements.
These topics were based on the results of the discussions that had been carried out by Perbekel (village head) of Sumerta Kelod considering several issues that had arisen in the past period.
The results of the content that has been collected will later become material for Instagram social media uploads for Sumerta Kelod Village so this is an ongoing program with the hope of becoming a bridge to solving emerging issues anddevelopingBalinesepeople’sknowledgeaboutSumertaKelodVillage.
Interactive, the Village account will be presented with a new look and certainly more interesting and informative.
In his remarks after the handover of the plaque and the launch of the brand guideline, the Perbekel of Sumerta Kelod Village also commented: “This is an extraordinary dedication, sophistication in the era of globalization. I want to see these youth grow up to be more innovative, to be creative according to their abilities. In this era of globalization, it needs to be used. I am very open and accept this progress starting from the closest, namely village officials first.
In addition, the results of this competition are not only limited to static content but also videos so that participants have further opportunities to explore. The content produced is in the form of three types of posts starting from Instagram carousel posts, Instagram Reels, and public service advertisements.

This competition also runs with the tagline Makejang Melajah Mekarya namely Innovation, Collaboration, and Empowerment. This message is conveyed through the presence of Balinese dancers who go around the Banjar to show interesting places in Sumerta Kelod Village.
All content results that have been created by participants, whether they win or not, will be uploaded to the Sumerta Kelod Village Instagram account with an attractive layout.
This content will be uploaded material for the next few months and will be interspersed with live reporting regarding village events that are running according to the timeline.
On July 20, a new look from the village account and brand guidelines for Sumerta Kelod Village social media offerings from LSPR students was launched to village heads, village bodies, hamlet heads, youth organizations, and media guests who attended the award night.
I Wayan Oka Priartha Karang, SE as the Village Secretary during his arrival on the opening day also stated that the Makejang Melajah Mekarya program would not end here but would develop into a village program that embraced the community, especially young people so that it became a village program and also to show the spirit of Desa Sumerta Kelod.
