DENPASAR, Bali (BPN) – The Sanur Village Festival XIII has confirmed its new location for 2018. The festival, which has been held at Maisonette Inna Grand Bali Beach, will relocate to Matahari Terbit beach. The move was made due to the development of tourism potentials in line with tourism market needs.
A number of ideas and planning for Sanur tourism development also affect the relocation. Among them, the Matahari Terbit beach development project, with the development of integrated hub for marina, boat lounge, amphitheater, meeting area, business stalls and retail, traditional market, space to enjoy the beach and helipad.
The chairman of Sanur Village Festival, who is also the Head of Bali Tourism Promotional Board (BPPD) for Denpasar city Ida Bagus Gde Sidharta Putra claims, the city needs public areas with sufficient supporting facilities that can accelerate the tourism business sector, creative industry, agriculture, fishery, and other entertainment sectors.
“The festival relocation will open the possibility of expanding the destination area and provide flexibility and comfort to visitors,” he said.
Sanur Village Festival 2018 will be held on 22 – 26 August, themed ‘Mandala Giri’ which is the spirit that refocuses on Mount Agung, where its eruption back in November 2017 created a reflection of humanity and closer to nature, which must be embraced and become a part of Sanur community’s spirit of creativity.
Sensitivity towards Mount Agung’s existence and condition should encourage togetherness and familiarity, respect and protection of the environment, inspiring the community, and reconfirming that remains Bali safe to be visited as one of the world’s best destinations.
Ida Bagus Gde Sidharta Putra said, through Sanur Village Festival, he tries to create additional industry products that are necessary for future business development.
