DENPASAR, Bali (BPN) – The Indonesian Hotel Front Liners Association (HFLA) Bali Chapter held the Receptionist of the Year (ROTY) 2022 and Receptionist Campus Competition at Elizabeth International Campus on 29-30 November 2022.
The competitions were followed by 62 participants from hotels and 15 students from campuses in Bali.
The assessment was carried out with a writing test, presentation test, and role play in front of judges from tourism association figures such as PHRI Bali, Bali Hotel Association, IHGMA DPD Bali, DPD Bali AHLI, and GM hotel practitioners in Bali.
The criteria for both competitions are the guest service level, foreign language skills, accuracy, knowledge skills in the field of the front office, and also skills on how they handle complaints in any situation.
The increasing number of participants indicates the increasing interest of fellow front liners to take part in this year’s Receptionist of the Year competition after being postponed for 2 years because of the pandemic.
The event aims to advance Indonesia’s younger generation, especially in tourism from the beginners, high school, campus level, and people who are already working in the hotel industry.
The Receptionist of the Year 2022 was won by Ni Wayan Yustia Winarti (The Sanctoo Suite & Villa), followed by Ni Luh Vony Erliasih (Grand Zuri Kuta Bali), and I Kadek Wirandana (Kastara Resort & Spa).
In addition, Ni Kadek Anggun Sastyarani P. N. (Elizabeth International Hotel & Business School) won the Reception Campus Competition, followed by Komang Apsariani (Elizabeth Internationa Hotel & Business School), and the third place was Ni Luh Putu Risna Pratiwi (LPK Venus One Tourism Academy).
