UBUD, Bali (BPN) – The 15th annual Receptionist of The Year (ROTY) competition returned in 2025 with an inspiring mission: to strengthen Bali’s regenerative tourism movement by uplifting the role of frontline hospitality professionals.
Organized by Hotel Front Liners Association (HFLA) Bali, this year’s event embraced the cultural philosophy of Wayang—symbolizing harmony between humans, culture, and nature.
With 103 participants from both Industrial and Academy categories, ROTY 2025 marked its largest edition yet.
Hosted at Mediterranean Bali – Ubud on 5-6 December 2025 , the event was supported by leading hospitality associations such as IHGMA, UHA, HRA, and BHA.
From the initial stage, the Top 20 finalists advanced to the final stage, demonstrating critical thinking, service excellence, and problem-solving abilities expected of a modern professional receptionist.

- 1st Place – Komang Esa Winanda (Desa Potato Head)
- 2nd Place – I Wayan Rudi Arya Widayana (Bali Beach Hotel & The Meru Sanur)
- 3rd Place – Isaura (Desa Potato Head)
Academy Category:
- 1st Place – Ni Putu Cahya Santhi (Elizabeth International Hotel & Business School)
- 2nd Place – Ni Komang Tri Cahya Kirana (Mediterranean Bali)
- 3rd Place – Elysabet Novianti Wulan Martono
Committee Chairman I Putu Deny Kesuma Putra highlighted the importance of this year’s event, not only because it is held for the first time in Ubud, but also for achieving the highest number of participants.
“We deeply appreciate the support from the Bali Tourism Office, PHRI BPD Bali, collaboration partners, and strategic partners. This event contributes to strengthening culturally driven and regenerative tourism in Bali,” he said.
This year’s competition was made possible with the support of 31 sponsors, reflecting strong synergy between industry, education, and professional associations.
ROTY continues to serve as a development platform where young talents enhance their competencies, learn industry best practices, and build strong professional networks.
