SANUR, Bali (BPN) – A cultural festival to support the community’s economy entitled Fiesta Rujakan Sanur will be held on September 4 – 6, 2020, in Jalan Segara Ayu, Sanur. The festival involves 34 Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) around Sanur from culinary, plantations, agricultural businesses, and other local businesses in Sanur.
“This event is an effort to revive Bali’s tourism as well as the economy during the COVID-19 pandemic,” said Committee Chairman Budi Hartawan during a press conference at The Seaside Bar & Restaurant, Monday.
At the festival, visitors can find various kinds of typical Sanur’s culinary delight. Starting from Rujak (Indonesian fruit salad), Balinese Porridge, Balinese Nasi Campur (rice with a variety of side dishes), and other Balinese or Indonesian culinary delights. Apart from culinary, Fiesta Rujakan Sanur will also feature plantation exhibitions.
Besides, the festival also prepares strict health protocols with several programs such as sharing face masks, providing washbasins, and cashless transactions.
“We will also distribute 1000 free face masks to visitors. Besides, each tenant will also provide a hand sanitizer,” he said.
Regarding non-cash payments, Budi explained that visitors can use the Linkaja mobile app.
“This is aimed to educate the public in using non-cash payments and less direct contact with merchants in the payment process,” Budi added.
Apart from culinary events, Fiesta Rujakan Sanur will carry out various interesting cultural attractions, beach clean-ups, drawing competitions for kids, and fundraising from Bali International Women Association (BIWA) for people in need.
