JIMBARAN, Bali (BPN) – Initiated by the youth, Kedonganan village community to hold Festival Mina Wisata 2018 as an effort to increase tourism attractions in the area. The festival that combines fisherman activities and tourism will be held on November 17 to November 18, 2018 in front of Segara Temple and at Kedonganan Beach, Badung Regency, Bali. Themed Pesisir Kedonganan, the festival also at once to promote the beauty of Kedonganan beach which is as beautiful as the other beaches on the island.
I Wayan Mertha, the village’s chief, expecting that Festival Mina Wisata 2018 to raise awareness of the community, entrepreneurs and other stakeholders to always cooperate in establishing sustainable tourism in Kedonganan.
“I hope this festival can take place with great fanfare and success, so that the goal to build sustainable tourism in this village can be realized. Thanks to all of those who have worked together for this festival,” he said at Jimbaran Bay Beach Resort & Spa on Friday.
Some programs that will enliven the festival such as café’s ornament and sanitation competition, the longest grill exhibition, Baleganjur (traditional music) dance competition, Lawar (traditional dish) and seafood satay competition, Kedonganan’s typical cooking competition, sand sculpture competition, Mencar (traditional fishing) competition, kites parade and several other activities involving local people, tourism entrepreneurs and fishing businesses in the village.
Meanwhile, Jimbaran Bay Beach Resort & Spa is the only 4-starred resort in the Kedonganan Beach area, appreciates and supports this Festival Mina Wisata in Kedonganan. Through this festival, it is expected that the public and tourists will find out more about Kedonganan Beach.

Kedonganan is a coastal village on South Bali which is famous as fish supplier village. For the last ten years, the area has become tourism spot that famous for its seafood. Besides, tourist also can directly see the activities of fishermen.
