DENPASAR, Bali (BPN) – The Drug Unit of Denpasar Police with the Counter Transnational and Organized Crime (CTOC) of Bali Police managed to secure 24 cases of drug abuse with a total of 30 perpetrators during May 2020.
Denpasar Police Drug Unit Chief Arj. Comm. Pol. Mikael Hutabarat explained those 30 perpetrators consisted of 13 dealers with three of them are recidivists and 17 users.
“Of the 30 perpetrators, 13 are from Java, 13 from Bali, one from Makassar, one from Medan and one foreigner from the United States,” Mikael Hutabarat said in Denpasar, Saturday.
Mikael explained, for the evidence, the police also seized 159.48 grams of methamphetamine, 126 ecstasies, and 11.74 grams of marijuana.
“They are subjected to the country’s Narcotic Law with the maximum imprisonment of 12 years, a minimum fine of IDR 800 million, and a maximum of IDR 8 billion,” he said.
