DENPASAR, Bali (BPN) – Bali Water Police stated that they had revealed three cases during the first semester of 2018, including cases of illegal levy, animal quarantine and a case of physical abuse. This was conveyed by Deputy of Bali Water Police Bambang Wiriawan, at a press conference at the Bali Water Police HQ on Thursday, August 30.
“During the first semester, the Bali Water Police succeeded in uncovering three cases including cases of illegal levy to scoot fast cruise, quarantine of animals, fish, plants and cases of criminal acts of mistreatment,” said Bambang Wiriawan.
For the case of the crime of the levy to scoot fast cruise which is a speed boat ferry operator in the village of Jungut Batu, officers managed to secure the perpetrator with the initial STI with cash evidence of Rp. 30,000,000, one sheet of receipt and one unit of Daihatsu Terios with its registration document. “We are still developing this case,” he said.
Furthermore, for animal quarantine case which began with an inspection of a truck driven by the perpetrator with the initials IGKB and IPYW who look-out for the cows. After the examination, the officers found 26 living cows without Animal Quarantine Certificate from the area of origin.
Meanwhile, for the abuse case on motorboat Bandar Nelayan 503 in Maluku waters, it started when the victim with the initials TS was lying in the captain’s room, when suddenly the perpetrator with the initial IS entered the room and stuck a kitchen knife on the victim’s right body side, but the knife was broken.
On the fight, the perpetrator managed to retake the broken knife and stabbed the victim’s back seven times. Officers managed to secure the perpetrator with evidence in the form of a knife in a broken condition.
