DENPASAR, Bali (BPN) – Bali Governor Wayan Koster invited foreign nationals in Bali to follow health protocols set by the Government. Koster emphasized that Bali Administrations will fine or deport foreigners who violate health protocols.
According to Koster, this new regulation has been stated in the Gubernatorial Decree Number 10/ 2021 which was released on Tuesday, March 9, 2021.
The gubernatorial decree stated that foreigners who violate health protocols will be subject to a fine of IDR 1,000,000 for the first violation, and deportation if they commit the violation for the second time.
At the same time, Koster also released Circular No. 06 / 2021, which extends public activity restrictions (PPKM) until March 22, 2021.
The latest Circular also relaxed the operating hours of restaurants, shopping centers, and malls until 10 PM, but still with a maximum number of visitors at 50 percent of the total normal capacity.
“Meanwhile, delivery service and take-out are still permitted according to operating hours by implementing more strict health protocols,” Wayan Koster added.
Koster stated that for public facilities, customary, religious, and socio-cultural activities, are permitted to be opened, with a maximum capacity limitation of 50 percent with strict health protocols, and in a very limited number of participants and duration of time.
Koster hopes that this latest regulation will provide greater opportunities for merchants and other business actors to increase community economic activity.
