Bali Sales and Marketing Community Holds Tourism Workshop for Australia and Europe Markets Updates

KUTA, Bali (BPN) – The Bali Sales and Marketing Community (BASCOMM) held a tourism workshop that focused on updates for the Australian and European markets on Wednesday (April 24, 2024), at the Ballroom of The Patra Bali Hotel in Kuta.

The workshop invited several speakers namely Kadek Suardharmana (Head of Indonesia-Supply Management, TUI Musement Indonesia), Nicoline Dolman (Contracting & Partnerships Manager, Southeast Asia, TripADeal Australia), and Claudia Schieker (Product Manager Asia, DER Touristik Deutschland).

According to Putu Arisudhiana, Chairman of BASCOMM, currently, Australian travelers rank highest in Bali’s arrivals, while European travelers, particularly those from Germany and the Netherlands, are among the top 15.

This event is part of BASCOMM’s ongoing commitment to supporting the growth of Bali tourism, with a particular focus on the Australian and European markets. The workshop aims to equip tourism industry stakeholders with valuable information.

“We are honored to have TripADeal Australia, one of the major players in the Australian market, and TUI Musement Indonesia and DER Touristik, leaders in the European market, particularly Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, and Luxembourg, as our valued travel partners for Bali. We extend our gratitude for their presence at today’s event and believe the market insights they shared will be highly beneficial to our tourism stakeholders,” said Putu Arisudhiana.

The half-day workshop drew over 500 participants from Bali’s diverse tourism industry, including representatives from hotels, villas, resorts, and activity/tour package vendors.

Meanwhile, Gufron, Advisor to BASCOMM, said that this workshop is very informative and helpful since Europe and Australia are two of Bali’s main markets.

“Hearing the marketing insights from the experts representing these markets, who hail from leading tour operators, has provided us with valuable information to develop our future strategies for attracting travelers from both Australia and Europe,” added Gufron, who is also Director at Alpa Hotel Management (AHM).

This event was also supported by the Indonesian Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy, recognizing its importance for the travel industry in promoting Bali and Beyond in collaboration with these three major travel partners.

BASCOMM remains committed to supporting Bali tourism through a series of workshops focusing on high-potential markets, including ASEAN, India, the Middle East, the USA, and others.
