DENPASAR, Bali (BPN) – Bali Province recorded four new cases of COVID-19 as of Saturday, April 11, bringing the total number to 79 cases.
“There are four new confirmed cases so that total cases increased to 79, with seven foreigners and 72 Indonesian. The four newly confirmed cases are all imported cases, brought by those who have a history of traveling overseas,” said Dewa Made Indra, Deputy Chairman of Bali COVID-19 countermeasure acceleration, on Saturday.
Dewa Indra also explained, of the 72 confirmed cases on Indonesians, 51 of them are imported cases. While the remaining 13 people got infected from other regions in Indonesia. And eight cases are from the local transmission.
While nationally, the Indonesian Government announced 330 new confirmed cases, bringing the total to 3,842. The death toll increased by 21 so that the total reached 327. And the number of recovered patients only increased by four, and the total now reached 286.
“There are still vulnerable groups of people who have not been disciplined to keep the distance and wear face masks,” said Government Spokesperson for COVID-19 control and prevention Achmad Yurianto in Jakarta, on Saturday.
