DENPASAR, Bali (BPN) – Bali recorded 10 new confirmed cases as of Tuesday, April 21, bringing the total number to 150. According to Deputy Chairman of Bali COVID-19 task force, Dewa Made Indra, seven of newly confirmed cases are from Indonesian migrant workers (PMI).
“There are 10 new confirmed cases, all are Indonesian. Seven of them are migrant workers from Bali, two are local transmission, and one got infected from other regions in the country,” he said on Tuesday.
Dewa Indra also announced that no recovered and dead patients from COVID-19 reported by referral hospitals in Bali.
“Therefore, the number of recovered patients remains 42, and the death toll remains 3. While the number of patients under treatment reach 105,” Dewa Indra explained.
Accumulatively, Dewa Indra continued, from the total confirmed cases, eight of them are foreigners and 142 Indonesians.
While Indonesia Government Spokesperson for COVID-19 Achmad Yurianto announced 375 new confirmed cases, bringing the total number to 7,135, as of Tuesday.
Besides, Achmad Yurianto also reported 95 patients have recovered, bringing the total number to 842. While the death toll reached 616, after addition by 26 fatalities.
Yuri explained that now the pandemic has reached 275 regencies/cities in all provinces in Indonesia.
