JAKARTA (BPN) – Bali has been ranked in fourth place out of the 25 world’s best tourism destinations by TripAdvisor. The travel planning and booking website listed Bali under London, Paris, and Crete (Greece), in the Travelers Choice.
Tripadvisor described Bali as a living postcard, an Indonesian paradise that feels like a fantasy. Soak up the sun on a stretch of fine white sand, or commune with the tropical creatures as you dive along coral ridges or the colorful wreck of a WWII warship.
Onshore, the lush jungle shelters stone temples and mischievous monkeys. The “artistic capital” of Ubud is the perfect place to see a cultural dance performance, take a batik or silver-smithing workshop, or invigorate your mind and body in a yoga class.
In a statement received on Saturday, the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy Wishnutama Kusubandio welcomed the achievement of Bali as one of the world’s best destinations by Tripadvisor.
Wishnutama hoped that this will motivate the country to develop new Balis and encouraging efforts to increase Bali’s tourism to be a more friendly and sustainable destination.
Bali’s tourism has been opened in stages starting from July 9 for locals, and then domestic tourists on July 31, and for foreign tourists in September 2020.
“It is hoped that after reopening, the application of health protocols can still be carried out with discipline. Avoid the second wave of COVID-19, because tourism is a business of trust,” he said.
