GIANYAR, Bali (BPN) – Bali’s tourism reopening for locals on July 9 and continued with the reopening for domestic tourists on July 31 began to bring positive impacts to the tourism industry especially hotels and villas. The increasing occupancy also experienced by one of the villas in Ubud, Sanctoo Suites & Villas.
“Room bookings are increasing. Even the occupancy rate has reached 70-85 percent per month where most of them are local guests,” said Juli Widyantini, Senior Sales Manager of Sanctoo Suites & Villas.
July admitted that the COVID-19 pandemic did make a significant impact on them and forced Sanctoo Suites & Villas to stop operating in April.
Soon after Bali Authorities decided to reopen the tourism, the villa next to Bali Zoo started offering special prices to stay at its villas or suites, especially for locals and domestic tourists.
Besides, Sanctoo Suites & Villas located on Jl. Raya Singapadu, Sukawati – Ubud, Gianyar also offers Day Use Package for its villa that valid from 10 AM to 7 PM for only IDR 750,000 for 4 guests.
July explained, the bookings already started since the end of last May. Foreign nationals also started to book rooms to stay in August.
“They are foreign tourists who stay in Bali (during the pandemic), who booked for 10 suites,” she explained.
July said that the enthusiasm of locals to take a vacation is quite high that made the occupancy rates begin to recover. Especially after a few months stay at home.
