DENPASAR, Bali (BPN) – Bali to host One Pride MMA Indonesia that will be held on June 7 and 8, 2024, at the Taman Werdhi Budaya Art Centre, Denpasar, where Indonesian fighters to face opponents from China.
At a press conference held in the Geneva Room at the City of Aventus Hotel Denpasar, Ardiansyah Bakrie, Chairman of KOBI (Indonesian Martial Arts Sports Committee), expressed his pride in KOBI’s achievements over the past eight years, which have produced many skilled fighters.
“Over the 8-year journey of KOBI with One Pride MMA in developing MMA in the country, many achievements have been made, starting from the formation of 8 national championship classes to the birth of Indonesian fighters from One Pride MMA such as Jeka Saragih, who made it into the world’s most prestigious MMA competition, the UFC,” he said.
Representatives from Wu Lin Feng (WLF) MMA also stated that they have prepared their fighters well, despite having to face Indonesia’s very different climate from China.
They are confident and believe that they can defeat Indonesia in this match.
Fransino Tirta, CEO of One Pride MMA Indonesia, is also optimistic that this event will further elevate Indonesia’s reputation.
“This time our opponent is China. If we can defeat China, we will be highly respected in Asia. This aligns with KOBI’s vision to create national pride by making Indonesia the Asian tiger in the MMA sports arena, respected worldwide,” he said.
Bali was chosen as the location for this match because, according to Fransino Tirta, there are many MMA fans in Bali.
“Every time I go to Bali, many people recognize One Pride. That’s why we are holding it in Bali this time. This also opens up opportunities for the general public to watch this match live,” he said.

- Firman Muharram VS Jia Qiong
