DENPASAR, Bali (BPN) – Chairman of Bali COVID-19 Task Force on Dewa Made Indra announced five new cases of COVID-19, and five patients are recovered, Saturday, April 4, 2020.
“There are five new cases for COVID-19, all five are from Bali. These are ‘imported cases’ because they just came from abroad. In total, the number of positive cases in Bali amounts to 32,” he said.
In addition, Dewa Made Indra also explained the increase in the number of patients recovering today by five.
“Today, five patients also have recovered. Two foreign nationals and three Indonesian. So in total, 18 people have recovered,” said Dewa Indra.
While related to a foreigner found died in Kubu Anyar, Badung, Dewa Made Indra explained that the foreigner has not been swab tested yet, so he can’t confirm it’s a COVID-19 case. The surrounding communities are urged to remain calm amid worries since the foreigner was close to the neighborhood.
Dewa Made Indra also reported the number of Indonesian Migrant Workers (PMI) who had entered Bali amounting to 4494 people. While 590 of them are quarantined.
Rapid tests are carried out at airport and ports for comers, especially from the red zone regions or countries.
Thus, Dewa Made Indra urges those who had just returned from abroad and from other regions in Indonesia to carry out self-quarantine at home for at least 14 days.
He also invited people in Bali who wish to donate, are welcomed in the form of goods or equipment related to COVID-19 countermeasures such as Personal Protective Equipment (APD), Mask, Handscoon, Hand Sanitizers, Thermogun, Disinfectants, Disinfectant Sprayer, hand wash basin for the public, and others.
