DENPASAR, Bali (BPN) – Bali Governor Wayan Koster welcomed the visit from the Deputy of the Parliament of the People’s Republic of China Y.M. Li Bin at his office on Wednesday, September 19. At this brief meeting, both Koster and Li Bin discussed the developing relations between the two countries including the cooperation towards the development to bring prosperity in Bali.
Quoted from the press release of Bali PR Department, Wayan Koster appreciated the good relations with the cooperation that has been established for years. “This meeting is an opportunity to increase the number of tourists as well as cooperation on investment and infrastructure,” Koster said.
After explaining Nangun Sat Kerthi Loka Bali, his vision and mission as the Island’s leader, of which will be the basis for future development in Bali, Koster hoped the Chinese government can help the development in Bali especially for infrastructure development such as the Bali ring train, the Bali ring road and the Denpasar-Gilimanuk toll road, and the cooperation in the field of information technology.
Accompanied by the Chinese Consul General in Bali Gou Haodong, Li Bin said that Indonesia is one of the countries that is part of the One Belt One Road program.
Several meetings between President Jokowi and President Xi Jinping, Li Bin added, mark a good relation between the two countries and this collaboration is expected to be done better including with the regional government.
Li Bin also praised the beauty of Bali during his visit. “Now I know the reason of why many of our tourists came here,” Li Bin said.
