Bali COVID-19 Update: Eight More Patients Have Recovered from COVID-19, April 23

DENPASAR, Bali (BPN) – Bali recorded eight more patients have recovered fromCOVID-19 as of Thursday, April 23, bringing the total number to 55.

“There are eight patients who have recovered today. Five of them were previously infected from the imported case and three were local transmission,” said Deputy Chairman of Bali COVID-19 task force, in Denpasar on Thursday.

Besides, Dewa Indra also announced 15 new confirmed cases on the island, all are Indonesians, bringing the total number to 167.

“From the 15 new confirmed cases, 12 are imported case and three are local transmission. While death toll remains four,” he said.

Dewa Indra explained that the number of confirmed patients infected from imported cases might still increase given that there will be more Indonesian Migrant Workers (PMI) and non-workers who will arrive in Bali from abroad.

But, since the handling is working fine, thus, the government will focus to handle local transmission-case which also increased in the last few days.

While nationally, the Indonesia Government recorded more patients have recovered from COVID-19.

The government spokesperson for COVID-19 task force Achmad Yurianto said, there are 47 patients have recovered as of Thursday, bringing the total number to 960.

The number of recovered patients also has surpassed the death toll number that reached 647, after the addition of 11 deaths.

Yuri also announced that there are 357 new confirmed cases on the archipelago, bringing the total number to 7,775.
