Bali COVID-19 Update: Four New Confirmed Cases as of April 19

DENPASAR, Bali (BPN) – Bali recorded four new confirmed cases as of Sunday, April 19, bringing the total confirmed COVID-19 cases to 135.

“We have four new confirmed cases. All are Indonesians and imported cases,” said Dewa Made Indra Deputy Chairman of Bali COVID-19 task force, in Denpasar, on Sunday.

Dewa Indra also explained there was no addition to both recovered and dead patients.

While for the confirmed patients under treatment, Dewa Indra continued, there are 94 patients currently hospitalized in 11 referral hospitals, or being quarantined.

According to Dewa Indra, most cases in Bali caused by the imported case. Thus, the Government has restricted Indonesian Migrant Workers (PMI) or passengers in entering Bali.

While the Indonesian Government announced more recovered patients by 55 as of Sunday, bringing the total recovered patients to 686.

DKI Jakarta still becoming the province with the highest number recovered patients with 234, followed by East Java 98, Central Java 51, West Java 45, South Sulawesi 43, and Bali 38.

According to the government spokesperson Achmad Yurianto, there was also an addition of confirmed COVID-19 cases by 327, bringing the total number to 6,575.
