Alila Seminyak holds Charity Event for Trash Picker Kids in Bali

SEMINYAK, Bali (BPN) – Alila Seminyak in collaboration with Plastic Angels to support the children of Bali’s trash picker community through an art exhibition on 11 November 2023. At the closing ceremony on 16 November 2023, the exhibition will be featuring the award-winning film “The Art of Giving”.

Plastic Angels is a collaborative art project to bring meals, water, healthcare, and innovative education to the trash picker kids in Bali.

The Art of Giving: Charity Soiree 2023 brings together celebrated artists, innovative minds, and philanthropic leaders speaking about The Art of Giving while enjoying sunset soirée, canapé, and special cocktails.

The event features Liina Klauss an environmental artist from Germany, Quint a stencil artist from Indonesia, Andriani Soekarno a painter from Indonesia, Mickaël Couturier a film and visual artist from France, Briana Smith a Marine Debris artist from the USA, Jasmin Mittag the combine paintings from Germany, Judith Ansems the painter from Netherlands and many more.

This collaboration of local and global talents with Plastic Angels and Alila Seminyak is a piece weaves a poignant narrative of Suwung’s children, inviting unprecedented interaction.

“We are excited with this collaboration to support the children of Bali’s trash picker. The funds will be raised for the trash pickers community of Bali, who have lost their livelihoods as a result of the massive fires of the TPA Suwung landfill, and have been (and still are) exposed to toxic fumes, posing a serious threat to their health,” said Adi Putrayasa, Associate Director of Marketing of Alila Seminyak.
