KUTA, Bali (BPN) – Laminatech Kreasi Sarana (HPL Wilsonart & Arborite), which is one of the business units of the VlVERE Group, held an Interior Designers Gathering on Thursday at the VIVERE Gallery Bali, Kuta. The event, which is part of Seminyak Design Week 2019, was attended by 100 participants from businessman to students.
The gathering was also attended by Lea Aziz, the President of APSDA (Asia-Pacific Space Designers Association) as a speaker, Agung Haryawan, Chairman of HDII (Indonesian Interior Designer Association) of Bali, Eno Rustandy, the Director of Laminatech Creation Facility (VIVERE Group), and Jacob Sura, as the Founder of Seminyak Design Week.
The Design Talk discussion raised one main topic “EcoFriendly Interior Design 4.0, related to the role of interior designers in creating environmentally-friendly designs.
“This is also in accordance with the commitment of VIVERE Group in presenting products that are of good quality and environmentally friendly. We also already received certificates of Green Label Singapore and Green Guard for HPL Wilsonart & Arborite products,” said Eno Rustandy.
While Lea Aziz said that Indonesian designers should be able to maximize their ability to contribute positively to the environment. “Interior designers are expected to not only create aesthetic and ergonomic designs but also have a positive impact on the surrounding environment,” Lea said.
Besides, Lea Azis also highlighted the use of technology to create a more creative design. According to Lea, creative and innovative people will live and rich. Therefore designers must not be inferior to technology.
“Technology and design must go hand in hand. But the most important thing is the designer must have character, it’s dangerous if a designer has no character,” Lea explained.
