East Java (BPN) – Viva Cosmetics initiated the first-ever virtual fashion show in Indonesia on Saturday. The Virtual Beauty and Fashion 2020 event received appreciations from many parties including the East Java Deputy Governor Emil Dardak. Besides, the event also received the Indonesian Museum of Record (MURI) award.

According to the Director of Viva Cosmetics Distribution for Eastern Indonesia, Yusuf Wiharto, the Virtual Beauty and Fashion 2020 event is held to support the creative industry, especially the fashion industry in Indonesia.

“We create the Virtual Beauty and Fashion 2020 event so that the creative industry, especially the fashion industry can still running,” said Yusuf Wiharto.

The fashion show entitled “Alliance” was held at a TV station in Surabaya, presenting fashion designers such as Geraldus Sugeng, Lia Afif, and Mega MA, and Bima Chang as Make-Up Director, as well as three beautiful models namely Hanna Matta, Ellysabeth Suciadi, and Cella Janice.

Yusuf Wiharto explained, the Virtual Beauty and Fashion 2020 optimized the philosophy of technology culture and is applied openly and more intellectually to achieve a sense of wellbeing. This is done because the fashion show involved many parties including designers, models, photographers, choreographers, venues, event organizers (EO), production events, make up artists, media, and others.

“We hope that this event can trigger the related industry to move the wheels of the economy, at least in East Java, and hopefully, it can inspire the creative industries in Indonesia,” Yusuf Wiharto hoped.

The fashion show also filled with the launching of the Indonesian Marketing Association (IMA) Surabaya Chapter (2020-2022), and followed by a webinar themed Creative Industry Towards New Normal, held by Viva Cosmetics, in collaboration with IMA Chapter Surabaya.

“Viva Cosmetics always works together with the creative industries, especially with designers and other partners, so they don’t give up amid the COVID-19 pandemic,” Yusuf Wiharto said.

Yusuf explained that all supporters of this event remain disciplined by using face masks and face shields and keep their distance according to health protocol.

In addition to the virtual fashion show, Yusuf explained that the company also creates various innovations. And in this pandemic situation, the company produces hand sanitizers in various sizes and at an affordable price for the community, while maintaining high quality as an effort to curb the COVID-19 transmission.
