Palazzo Versace Macau

MACAU (BPN/PR) – Versace held the Grand Opening of Palazzo Versace Macau on Saturday (March 23), which celebrated the luxury hotel’s unique blend of iconic Versace design with the traditions of Macau.

“I am delighted to celebrate the opening of this truly beautiful Palazzo Versace here in Macau with an amazing performance by the incredible John Legend. It is wonderful to bring together so many friends for such a special event to mark the opening. I know that Palazzo Versace will continue this warm welcome for every guest who comes to visit, for many years to come,” said Donatella Versace, Chief Creative Officer Versace.

Daisy Ho, Managing Director of SJM Resorts, S.A, said that she is profoundly gratified to see their vision for the Grand Lisboa Palace Resort Macau fully realized with the official grand opening of The Palazzo Versace Macau.

“Our resort features a modern east-meets-west flair, which is consistently woven throughout the property—a theme that Versace has interpreted with unparalleled finesse. The Grand Lisboa Palace now stands out as home to the only couture-focused designer hotels in Macau, positioning our city as one of the few destinations worldwide offering such ultraluxe branded hospitality experiences,” Daisy Ho said

“I am thrilled that our efforts are contributing to a new dimension in Macau’s status as a World Centre of Tourism and Leisure, attracting a broader spectrum of discerning travelers from across the globe.”

The Grand Opening event was an embrace of the hotel’s synergy between Versace’s luxury lifestyle and the culture, entertainment, and cuisine of Macau.

A majestic dragon installation atop the Romanesque columns of the hotel’s outdoor pool area greeted guests at the opening reception in a celebration of both the Year of the Dragon in 2024 and the hotel’s signature dragon motif.

Guests passed through the Jardim Secreto where renowned harpist, Yu Dan and the quintet from Macau Orchestra gave musical performances, before entering The Grand Pavilion for Versace Signatures, a curated display of iconic Atelier Versace and Versace ready-to-wear designs that were shared with guests a unique perspective on the recurring signatures at the heart of the House’s fashion design.

This exhibition offered guests a unique perspective on the recurring signatures at the heart of the House’s fashion design.

The evening concluded with a banquet dinner of Chinese cuisine accompanied by traditional entertainment, such as a drum performance by a group of young talents from Macau, followed by a surprise music performance from world-renowned musician, John Legend.

Palazzo Versace Macau is the first Palazzo Versace luxury hotel in Asia, and the second worldwide following Palazzo Versace Dubai. The hotel is situated within one of the three towers of the Grand Lisboa Palace Resort Macau and offers 271 rooms and suites across 12 floors.

Interior design is evocative of an Italian Palazzo, and Versace’s Milanese heritage and signature flair are immediately evident.

Codes of the House including the Medusa, geometric Greca motif, and Barocco print are each rendered in alternate craft finishes throughout.

A design expression unique to Palazzo Versace Macau interplays this Italianate aesthetic with symbols rooted in local Chinese custom—the chrysanthemum flower and an ornate dragon—which feature throughout the hotel.

Amenities include two Italian restaurants, a wellness retreat, a personal training studio, and indoor and outdoor swimming pools.

Enhancing the appeal of Palazzo Versace Macau is its accessibility. Air Macau operates direct flights from Jakarta to Macau every Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday, providing a convenient travel option.

For travelers from Jakarta, there are also flights available to Hong Kong via Cathay Pacific and Garuda Indonesia.

The flight from Jakarta to Hong Kong is approximately 4 hours and 45 minutes, landing at Terminal 1 of Hong Kong Airport. From there, travelers can opt for a private car service or take the ferry directly from the Hong Kong International Airport to Macau.
