SEMINYAK, Bali (BPN) – A painting exhibition entitled First Art Group Painting Exhibition is held at Seminyak Village Mall, Kuta, in collaboration with Zen1 Gallery, from January 20 to February 21, at 11 AM to 7 PM.

The exhibition displays 60 paintings from 38 painters from across Indonesia represented by 5 well-known galleries in Bali.

According to Nicolaus F. Kuswanto, Director of Zen1 Gallery, the painting exhibition which is held on the 1st floor of Seminyak Village Mall is to provide space for artists to work.

“During the pandemic, they (painters) rarely got space to showcase their artworks. With strict health protocols, I hope this exhibition can inspire and can be enjoyed by the public,” he said at a press conference, Wednesday.

Niko explained that the exhibition receives remarkable feedback from the public, and motivates him to hold another exhibition monthly to give other painters a space to exhibit their artworks during this difficult time.

Meanwhile, Head of Marketing of Seminyak Village, Danar Reksa, said that this event is expected to restore the painters’ spirit during this difficult time, and to inspire the public and young painters to keep working and exploring.

Besides Zen1 Gallery, this event also collaborates with several well-known galleries in Bali including Jala Gallery, Purpa Fine Art Gallery, Heartlab Bali, and Titian Art Space.

Painters supporting this exhibition including Atmi Kristiadewi, Dangapm Murdika, Erica Hestu Wahyuni, I Gde Sugiada, I Made Ananda Krisna, I Made Suartama, I Made Sujendra, I Made Wahyu Senayadi, Nyoman Arisana, I Nyoman Bratayasa, I Nyoman Sukariana, I Wayan Aris Sarmanta.

There are also I Wayan Dendy Permana, Ida Bagus Indra, Ida Bagus Punia Atmaja, Ida Bagus Putu Purwa, Ida Bagus Suryantara, Jango Pramartha, Jeihan Sukmantoro, Kabul, Ketut Suwidiarta, Made Winata, Made Wiradana, Michael Palilingan, Nana Teja, Nyoman Sujana Kenyem, Putu Edy Asmara (Asparangi).
